The Man in Black
made on FicPal
Kai Ashford is sixteen, ordinary, and marked: a black sigil on his forehead that has never done anything. Then a tall man in a long black coat starts hunting him, and the hunter is not a stranger — he is Kai, thirty years older, come back through a loop of his own making. Vale has killed his past selves nine times to stop the night his power woke and unmade his sister Mira, and every kill only makes the mark return sooner and stronger. To break the loop, Kai has to do the one thing Vale never could: tell Mira the truth, let her stay, and hold the Rend instead of running from it.
