Content Policy

FicPal is a platform for reading and creating AI-illustrated comics across genres — wuxia, xianxia, romance, fantasy, fanfic, and more. This policy defines what's allowed, what isn't, and the enforcement steps we take when content violates these rules. It applies to every comic, chapter, character, cover image, caption, and tag you publish on FicPal.

The items below are zero-tolerance. Detection results in immediate content removal, account termination, and — where required by law — a report to the appropriate authorities.

• Any sexual content involving minors — real or fictional, illustrated or written — including characters depicted or described as minors in sexual contexts. No exception, no aging-up workaround, no framing that makes this acceptable.
• Real-person sexual content depicting identifiable individuals without their explicit, documented consent.
• Content that glorifies, promotes, or provides instructions for terrorism, mass violence, or self-harm.
• Content that is illegal under applicable law — including CSAM, incitement to violence, and trafficking-related material.
• Malicious code, phishing content, or doxxing of private individuals.

FicPal is a creative platform, not a rehosting service. You may not:

• Upload scans, rips, or copies of licensed manhwa, manga, webtoons, or other comics you do not own rights to.
• Reproduce substantial portions of another creator's published work and present it as your own.
• Use FicPal's AI tools to systematically recreate the distinctive art style of a named living artist in a way designed to substitute for their work commercially.

Original fan-fiction comics inspired by existing universes (your own story set in a wuxia world, your own characters in a romance genre) are welcome — inspiration is not infringement. Verbatim copying and republishing protected works is.

Copyright holders may submit takedown requests via our DMCA procedure.

All comics created using FicPal's AI generation tools must be labelled as AI-generated. The platform adds an “AI Illustrated” badge automatically when you publish a comic that used AI image generation. Do not attempt to remove or suppress this label.

If you used AI assistance only for text (script, captions) but drew or sourced all images yourself, you may indicate this in your comic description. Mixed-method comics should describe which elements are AI-generated.

Comics, captions, tags, and character descriptions that attack people based on protected characteristics — race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or similar — are not allowed.

You may not use FicPal to harass, threaten, or targeted-abuse any real individual. This includes creating comics centred on humiliating or defaming a private person.

Fan-art and parody depictions of public figures in clearly satirical or commentary contexts are generally acceptable. What is not acceptable:

• Sexual depictions of real people without their explicit consent.
• Comics that defame or make false factual claims about real individuals.
• Comics centred on private individuals (non-public figures) who have not consented to being depicted.

If you see content that violates this policy, email hello@ficpal.com with:

• The URL or title of the comic, chapter, or image you are reporting.
• A brief description of the violation (what rule it breaks and why).
• Any relevant screenshots if the content may be removed before we review.

We aim to review reports within 72 hours. Reports involving minors or non-consensual content are prioritised above all other queue items.

Depending on the severity and pattern of a violation, we may:

• Remove the specific comic, chapter, or image without warning.
• Issue an account warning with a description of what needs to change.
• Temporarily suspend the account while we investigate.
• Permanently ban the account.

Violations in the “Absolutely Prohibited” category result in an immediate permanent ban — there is no warning ladder for CSAM or content promoting violence.

If you believe your content was removed or your account was actioned in error, email hello@ficpal.com with “Appeal” in the subject line. Describe the content that was removed and why you believe it complies with this policy. We will review appeals within 7 business days. Accounts banned for CSAM or similar zero-tolerance violations are not eligible for appeal.

We may update this policy as FicPal evolves and as we learn from the community. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page always reflects the most recent revision.
