Terms of Service

By accessing or using FicPal (ficpal.com) you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the service.

These terms cover how you use the site, the comics and stories you create, the content you interact with, and everything FicPal does on your behalf to power the reading and creation experience.

FicPal is available to anyone aged 13 or older. If you are under 18, you may use the platform only in a general-audience capacity with parental permission. Certain features — including any NSFW content tiers if and when they are introduced — will be restricted to users who are 18 or older and have verified their age.

One person, one account. Please don't register multiple accounts to work around rate limits, bans, or credit policies.

You may sign in using Google OAuth. By connecting your Google account you authorize us to receive your email address and display name from Google's OAuth service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us immediately at hello@ficpal.com and we will help lock it down.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, our Content Policy, or that pose a risk to other users or the platform.

“Your Content” means any comics, stories, scripts, characters, cover art, captions, tags, or other material you create or upload to FicPal.

You retain ownership of the original creative elements you contribute — your story plots, dialogue, and character concepts. To operate the service, you grant FicPal a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and promote Your Content on the platform and in marketing materials related to FicPal (for example, featuring a popular comic on the homepage or in social posts).

You may remove this promotional license at any time by setting your comic to private or deleting it. Note that hosting rights persist until deletion, and deletion is subject to our data-retention policy.

You represent that Your Content does not infringe anyone else's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights, and that you have the right to publish it.

FicPal uses third-party AI models to generate comic illustrations and assist with story text. Image generation is powered by Azure AI services; story text assistance is routed through OpenRouter. These models are probabilistic — outputs can occasionally be unexpected, imperfect, or inconsistent with your prompt.

AI-generated images and text produced through FicPal's tools are made available for your use in the comics you create on the platform. Ownership and licensing of AI-generated material are evolving areas of law; we make no warranty about the legal status of AI outputs beyond the license described in the section above.

Nothing generated by AI on FicPal constitutes professional advice of any kind. The platform is a creative storytelling tool, not a medical, legal, financial, or mental-health resource.

You may not use FicPal to create, upload, or distribute:

• Any sexual content involving minors — real or fictional. This is a zero-tolerance rule with no exceptions, workarounds, or framing that makes it acceptable.
• Real-person sexual content depicting actual individuals without their explicit, documented consent.
• Content that infringes third-party copyrights — including republishing licensed manhwa, manga, webtoons, or other comics you don't own rights to.
• Content that promotes or glorifies hate speech, discrimination, or violence against any individual or group based on protected characteristics.
• Malware, phishing, credential-harvesting content, or instructions for illegal activities.
• Doxxing or targeted harassment of real individuals.

FicPal uses a credit system to access AI-powered generation features. Credits are purchased through our payment system, processed by Stripe, Inc. All credit prices are shown in USD.

Credits are non-refundable once consumed. Unconsumed credit balances may be refunded within 14 days of purchase if you contact us at hello@ficpal.com with your account email and purchase details, subject to our discretion and any applicable consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction.

Subscription plans (if offered) may be cancelled at any time. Access continues until the end of the paid billing period; partial-period refunds are not provided unless required by law.

Chargebacks filed against legitimate purchases will result in immediate account suspension pending review.

When using FicPal, you agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or automate bulk requests against the service.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer AI models, system prompts, or internal infrastructure.
• Circumvent rate limits or credit requirements through technical means or extra accounts.
• Impersonate FicPal, other users, or any third party.
• Introduce malicious code, bots, or scripts that disrupt the platform.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or our Content Policy, or if we believe your account poses a risk to other users or the platform. Serious violations (CSAM, coordinated abuse, fraud) result in immediate permanent termination.

You may delete your account at any time by emailing hello@ficpal.com from your registered address. Account deletion is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy (30-day soft delete, then full purge).

FicPal is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will meet your expectations.

Third-party providers — Stripe, Google, Cloudflare, OpenRouter, Azure — can have outages or make changes that affect FicPal. We are not liable for disruptions caused by those providers.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FicPal and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service — including loss of data, loss of credits, or reliance on AI-generated content.

Our total liability for any claim arising from FicPal is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (or $10, whichever is greater).

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of FicPal that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding individual arbitration in Delaware under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive the right to participate in a class action. This arbitration clause does not apply to claims that may be brought in small-claims court.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory consumer-protection rights under the laws of your jurisdiction.

We may update these terms as FicPal grows. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes go live constitutes acceptance. If you don't agree with an update, please stop using FicPal and delete your account.
