The Hidden Hollow

made on FicPal

In a world where a girl's rank is decided by the shape of her navel, nineteen-year-old Lara keeps hers — deep, vertical and flawless — hidden under a buttoned cardigan. Her best friend Melis will not stop asking to see it, and one evening Lara finally says yes. Being seen turns out to be the easy part; staying friends turns out to be the hard part.

Made on FicPal from one paragraph

“Lara is a 19-year-old quiet and shy girl with long wavy dark brown hair that falls to her waist, almond-shaped dark eyes, soft delicate facial features, and a slender, elegant body. She has an exceptionally beautiful navel: deep, vertical, smooth-edged, and perfectly innie. In this world, beauty is ranked almost entirely by the navel. The most desired ones are deep and vertical. Girls with beautiful navels proudly wear crop tops, while Lara deliberately hides hers under normal clothes because she does not want the attention and ranking that comes with it. Her close friend Melis is also very beautiful. She has bright expressive eyes, a lively face, long straight light brown hair, and a more energetic personality. Melis is cheerful, playful, and a bit pushy. She has a soft, mildly outie navel that is considered average-to-pretty. She has never seen Lara’s navel and has been curious about it for a long time. One morning, Lara wakes up alone, goes to the bathroom, lifts her shirt in front of the mirror, and stares at her own deep vertical navel for a long moment. Her expression shows quiet conflict — she knows it is beautiful, but she is afraid of becoming the center of attention. At school, girls with good navels walk confidently in crop tops while ranking conversations are normal. Melis keeps teasing Lara, saying she should just show it once because it is probably amazing. Lara keeps refusing out of embarrassment. After school, Melis insists again. Lara finally gives in and invites her home. In Lara’s bedroom, she hesitates for a while, then slowly lifts her shirt. Melis’s eyes widen with pure admiration. She stares and softly compliments it, saying it is unfair how perfect it looks. She asks if she can touch it. Lara shyly allows it. Melis starts carefully and curiously, gently examining the edges and depth with her fingertip while watching Lara’s face. The atmosphere stays intimate, slightly awkward, and full of quiet curiosity and admiration rather than anything extreme. Both girls remain attractive and expressive throughout.”
