The Counterfeit Empress
made on FicPal
A jade smuggler inherits her murdered sister's vow-jade — a binding oath that will kill her in three breaths if she fails to put the 'rightful heir' on the throne before the current emperor's funeral. The catch: the jade reacts to her choices but never names who is rightful.
